After high school, in 1985, he moved to Nashville to pursue his career in music, initially starting out as a songwriter. Here he met Bill Lloyd and they co-wrote \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9UyUPcqloEM\">Since I Found You<\/a>,\u201d to be performed by Sweethearts of the Radio. This song reached No. 7 on the Top Ten Country Music charts, catapulting the duo into stardom.<\/p>\n<p>Shortly thereafter, Foster and Lloyd teamed up and began recording. Over the four years they worked together, they produced three studio albums and had nine singles on the country music charts. \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=tEYhF5R3tg8\">Crazy Over You<\/a>\u201d was their top single in 1987 reaching the no. 4 spot.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Spotify Embed: Radney Foster\" width=\"100%\" height=\"380\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/playlist\/5Hg38QvYhfv0t4WUsMS27B?utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>When Radney and Bill parted in 1990, Foster\u2019s solo career took off. \u00a0Spanning more than three decades, Foster wrote 13 hit singles including \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/k8YUTWjCEnU\">Just Call Me Lonesome<\/a>,\u201d \u201cNobody Wins,\u201d \u201cEasier Said Than Done,\u201d and \u201cHammer and Nails.\u201d During this time Foster also produced 11 albums including his most recent \u201cFor You To See The Stars.\u201d His extensive discography includes countless cuts in a wide-range of genres from country to contemporary and includes artists such as Keith Urban, The Dixie Chicks, Luke Bryan, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Marc Broussard, Hootie &amp; The Blowfish, Kenny Loggins and Los Lonely Boys.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Radney Foster - Just Call Me Lonesome\" width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/k8YUTWjCEnU?feature=oembed\"  allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But Radney considered himself more than a songwriter as a true Renaissance man. After battling a sudden and terrifying illness, Radney decided to take his love of writing to the next level and created \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.radneyfoster.com\/book\/\">For You to See the Stars<\/a>.\u201d A deeply personal book\/CD project, Radney took inspiration from his life along the Mexican border and created a collection of short stories that expand on the meaning behind his songs.
