Arts &amp; Music Festival is a three day award-winning celebration of eclectic arts &amp; music that enhances the cultural experiences in the North Texas region. It draws thousands of people annually and is held the third weekend in May.<o:p><\/o:p><\/p>\n<p>For over 34 years attendees have enjoyed a variety of musical acts on multiple stages such as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.methodisthealthsystem.org\/methodist-richardson-medical-center\/\">Methodist Richardson Medical Center<\/a> Stage, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texanscu.org\/\">Texans Credit Union<\/a> Stage, <a href=\"https:\/\/citylinedfw.com\/\">Cityline <\/a>Stage; hands-on activities in The Grove, artistic performances on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.piainsure.com\/\">Patterson &amp; Associates <\/a>Performance Row, regional cuisine in the\u00a0Food Court, and shopping with local artisans in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prosperitybankusa.com\/Personal\">Prosperity Bank<\/a> Marketplace. Additionally, the festival offers many programs that recognize and support talented musicians and artists, such as Battle of the Bands, Budding Talent Vocal Competition, Student Art Contest, and the award-winning Al Johnson Performing Songwriter Contest. Arts and Music Festival (\u201cFestival\u201d) is a<span>\u00a0<\/span><i>rain or shine<\/i><span>\u00a0<\/span>event, so performances and activities will continue as planned whenever possible.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b><\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>Can events be canceled or rescheduled?<br \/><\/b>While we do our best to keep the full lineup on track, performances and schedules may change or be canceled by the City of Richardson if needed. \u2002Unfortunately, canceled shows won\u2019t be rescheduled for another date.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b><\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>What if there\u2019s severe weather?<\/b><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">If dangerous weather\u2014such as lightning or other unsafe conditions\u2014occurs, attendees may be asked to take shelter on-site in designated locations. Additionally, Emergency Personnel is provided by the City of Richardson Fire Department and is on-site to assist as needed. In the case of an emergency, please notify a police officer, security, or staff member right away.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.texanscu.org\/\">Texans Credit Union<\/a> Kids Safety Tag Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.texanscu.org\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/wildflowerfestival.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/Texans-300x82.png\" width=\"182\" height=\"45\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9809 size-medium\" style=\"float: right;\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Available at the festival gateways, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texanscu.org\/\">Texans Credit Union<\/a> Kids Safety Tag Program encourages parents to write down their phone number on a provided wristband and place it on their child to wear throughout the day. The wristbands allow staff the ability to reunite a child separated from their parents in a fast and reliable way. Wristbands are available to pick up at each festival gateway. Kids Safety Tag Program<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Available at the Festival Gateways, the&nbsp;<strong>WF!<\/strong> Kids Safety Tag Program gives parents the opportunity to write down their phone number on a provided&nbsp;wristband and place it on their child to wear throughout the day. This allows staff and security personnel to reunite a child separated from his or her parents in a fast and reliable way. We also strongly recommend that parents take a photo of your child on the day of the Festival to ensure that an accurate description can be provided to our staff in the event that you get separated from them.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Medical Services<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Emergency Personnel is provided by the City of Richardson Fire Department and is on site to assist as needed.
